Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend…I definitely did! We had a double date night with friends on Friday night, went down to Santa Cruz for the day on Saturday, and enjoyed Sunday at home. I sure do love a Sunday at home, and while I was binge watching Grey’s Anatomy for the millionth time, I went through my IPhone photos from the weekend and decided it would be a fun way to give y’all a peek into my weekend 🙂
My absolute favorite candle ever is that one in the pretty pink jar right there from Lafco. I wrote a little bit about it in my last Lauren’s Loves, but seriously it is AMAZING and lasts a very long time.
Sweet Nala sitting on her favorite bar stool…probably waiting for food. I’ve never met a cat that loved food as much as that one right there. One night recently, Ian and I came home to find that she had eaten almost two brioche buns from the bread basket!! That’s the last time we leave anything out! At least she is cute 🙂
Some pretty hydrangeas I bought for my bar cart for the week. Trader Joes has been killing it in the flower department!
I woke up extra early on Thursday morning to meet a friend (Hi Ari!) for coffee before work. It was the best way to start my day and that large latte definitely helped me get through my Thursday.
One of the reasons we drove down to Santa Cruz on Saturday was for the ice cream (haha!). The Penny Ice Creamery has delicious, one-of-a kind flavors…and usually a long line out the door as well. We discovered it when we spent the weekend in Santa Cruz last October, but enjoying it on a hot day in May made it even better! An ice cream cone and a walk around downtown Santa Cruz makes for the perfect afternoon.
After walking around downtown, we made our way toward the water. I could have stayed there all day watching the dogs running around on the beach (seriously, Ian had to pull me away!). They were having the best time! There was even the CUTEST bulldog in a lifejacket running in and out of the water. It was in the 90’s (!!) when we left San Jose, but after the 45 minute drive down to Santa Cruz, it was 70 degrees and absolutely the most beautiful day. Definitely a little bit windy by the looks of that second picture 🙂
This last picture on my phone was from my wonderful Sunday at home. I went to the hardest Flywheel spin class EVER and got all organized for the week ahead. After my to-do list was all checked off, I made a latte and baked up these delicious cookies for Ian to bring to work. I even made a trip to the Container Store for a new solution to organize my spices (post coming soon!). Basically a perfect Sunday in my book!
Have a great week, y’all!
