Happy Monday, everyone! I hope y’all had a weekend full of sunshine and fun times! Ours included a hike, some time by the pool, and a yummy brunch. I love weekends that make me feel rejuvenated for the week ahead! Who’s with me?!
A few weeks ago, I went ahead and changed up my bar cart for the summer months ahead. I love just adding a few, fun elements for each season (check out my holiday bar cart!). It adds a pop of color to my neutral living room and makes for an even happier cocktail hour!
Since margaritas are one of our favorite summer cocktails (see my favorite recipe here), limes are a must! A pretty bowl of limes is not only functional for making drinks, but the bright green color is a perfect focal point. I then made my way to target for a few other summery decorations, including some bright tassel garland and fun straws!
I left my usual bar cart supplies out like my gold shaker, “Rocks” cups, gold dot coasters, and electric wine opener (because sometimes you just want a foolproof way to open your favorite bottle!). The last thing I did was some re-arranging with my coffee table books, including adding a new one! I just loved the light pink hue of this Domino: Your Guide to a Stylish Home book. Since moving in with Ian, I try to keep my girly decorations to a minimum…but this bar cart is one spot I always pull out all the pinks, rose golds, and feminine accents.
Nala and Monkey sure do love the colorful tassels!
So with just a few simple changes, my bar cart is ready for all sorts of fun cocktails this summer! First up on my list, I want to create my own frosé (frozen rosé!). So look out for that fun post 🙂
