Can y’all believe there are only 12 more days until Christmas?! I still have quite a little bit of shopping left to do, but thanks to online shopping (RIGHT?!), I should be done by the weekend. Ian and I are heading to New Orleans for about 5 days, but then will be back in the Bay Area to celebrate New Year’s with friends. I can NOT believe this year is coming to an end.
This is probably no surprise, but my favorite place in my apartment to decorate is my bar cart (as evident here…My Fall Bar Cart, Summer Bar Cart, Holiday Bar Cart). I have so much fun putting it together and I think it is just a great focal point to my living room. There is A LOT going on this year on my holiday bar cart, but I absolutely love it!
The first thing I added were the smaller presents on top. Okay real talk…those “presents” are just really empty boxes ha! But they work, right?! I’m a sucker for cute wrapping paper and just couldn’t resist the pink christmas trees. Plus, I love adding pops of pink into the traditional Christmas colors.
I found the cutest “Merry & Bright” sign from Chip and Joanna’s Target collection and knew I had to have it. I’m not usually big on signs, but I love the little reminder of what this season is about.
I rearranged a few things that I always keep on my bar cart, like my glass decanter and mixer, and my gold cocktail shaker. I also always makes sure to keep some glassware out, like a few wine glasses, mule glasses, or just plain cocktail glasses. You never know when you might need to pour a little drink 🙂 I also filled a bowl I keep out with some small Sugar Paper ornaments just for a little more holiday cheer. Plus, they were too cute and I couldn’t pass them up…#targetproblems.
Ian’s mom gave us these furry stockings last year for Christmas and I have been counting down the days until I could put them out. They are just so fun and I can’t wait to fill them with all sorts of Christmas goodies.
The bottom of my bar cart is where I keep wine, mezcal (our favorite!), and sparkling water. I found a simple green wreath from Target and placed it front and center. Green is not usually my decorating color of choice (fun fact: I keep just one green shirt for St. Patrick’s Day!), but I always try to add a little bit more for this time of year.
Garland and festive drinks were the final touches I made. Just add cranberries to your favorite cocktail for a beautiful color and fun, festive treat!
What is your favorite part of your house to decorate during the holidays? Now…I’m off to make myself a festive drink. Cheers to a happy Wednesday and very merry week!
